Description
Coronet Peak’s 280 skiable hectares are accessed by a six seater express chair, an express quad, a double chair and T-bar. Recently expanded, the dedicated beginner slopes with twin conveyer lifts makes learning fun and easy for novices. This area and the beginner tow has its own snowmaking. Night Skiing and First Tracks mean Coronet Peak offers longer on-snow hours than any other ski area in the country.
Veterans and first-timers will be blown away by the multi-million dollar transformation of the base area for the 2008 season, elevating this much-loved mountain to true world-class status. The brand new building provides superb facilities including expanded food and beverage services a huge sundeck, new and enlarged spaces for ticketing, storage, rental and expanded kids facilities doubling child care capacity.
Base area facilities include several eateries, a huge heated deck, Snowsports School, retail, rental and repair areas and a licensed crèche. Automated snowmaking capacity has been tripled for 2008 ensuring quality snow over a long season.

Coronet Peak’s dedicated race facility provides a training ground for world class athletes and hosts many prestigious race and social events including FIS Ski Racing, New Zealand Nationals and the American Express Queenstown Winter Festival.
Location
Coronet Peak, is just 25 minutes from Queenstown. From Queenstown follow the sign posts to Coronet along the skippers road. The access road is 13km out of town on the left. The road to the ski field is sealed all the way to the top.

FACILITIES
A new state-of-the-art base lodge for 2008 includes a restaurant, coffee and bar facilities, child care centre and Skiwiland, function room, outdoor heated deck, snowsports school, rental department, guest storage area, retail shop, ski patrol/first aid, and guest services. Heidi’s Hut Café at Rocky Gully is a cosy alternative for coffee or lunch.
